The brilliant Tim Harford (currently presenting a podcast on vaccines for the BBC) has published a piece, originally in the FT in October 2020, on hype, technology and ‘bionic duckweed’. He makes use of an example from my book – the claim that Level 5 autonomous vehicles are just around the corner:
